has an event planned just for you!
CHOCOLATE EXTRAVAGANZA
in Hermann, Missouri
Date and Time: February 12th 12:00-6:00PM
Place: Stone Hill Winery Pavilion
In February, when everyone's thoughts turn to Valentine's Day and Chocolate, take a trip to Hermann, Missouri where the Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2nd Annual Chocolate Extravaganza. A gift of chocolate has always been the purest sign of devotion, as lucky recipients on Valentine's Day will agree.
So, bring your sweetheart and spend a romantic weekend in Hermann and join us for this noteworthy event at the Stone Hill Winery Pavilion in February 2005.
Ticket costs for the public: Adults $
12.00 each per day. Young Adults
6-12 years of age $6.00 each per day,
5 and under free. Price of ticket
includes a chance to vote for best
presentation and to sample an entry.
Hot Chocolate, coffee, wine, water and
apple cider will be offered for sale.

Area B&Bs will offer gift certificates and also some will feature Chocolate for Breakfast.
Restaurants will also have some wonderful Chocolate Desserts on the menu.
You'll be able to sample all the entries from area chocolate culinary experts and help select the best of show and sip hot cocoa as you view the prize winning chocolate creations of some of our area's finest cooks.

Display tables are resplendent with all manner of chocolate delights with dozens of chocolate desserts to sample.
So, come and enjoy this celebration of all things chocolate from cookies to fudge, cakes, pies, muffins and even a decadent chocolate wine sauce. This event is a chocoholic's dream!
New This Year:
We will be offering a mini Trade Show to
local vendors to showcase their
products. We have space for 20 tables. The
cost for the
vendors is $ 50.00. Each vendor will receive an 8' table top. We
are requesting
gifts that showcase chocolate or romantic related
items.

The categories for entry
are:
A. Cheesecakes
B.Pies
C.German Chocolate Dessert
D.Fudge/Candy
E. Cake/cupcakes
F.Brownies
G. Cookies
H.Garnish (
chocolate Displays)
I. Chocolate Fruit
Judging will be
for 3 divisions
Divisions: Professional, Amateur, Young Chef ( 14 and
under )
Cost per entry is $ 10.00 per
professional ( some culinary training )
$ 5.00 for amateurs and $ 2.00 for young people, 14 and under
Rules:
Rules are:
1. You may
enter in one division only.
2.You may enter as many
categories with separate recipes as you like.
Second entries will be 1/2
off.
3.You must submit 2 items per recipe (one for
judging/one for
tasting.)
4.Recipes must accompany
entries, with proper credit given to creator.
5. Recipe
does not have to be original, please observe copyright
laws.
6.Bake-Off entries must be delivered to the
Festhalle no later than
10:00 AM on the day of the 12th.
All entries will be judged by regional
and local celebrities.

1.Please fill in entry form
available at the Welcome Center, and mail with entry fee and recipe to the
Hermann Area Chamber of Commerce or drop it into The Valentine Box at
the
Chamber Office. We will need your name, address, telephone number
and e-mail
address, your category and recipe must be included on the
form.
Top 3 overall prizes will be awarded. $ 100.00, $ 75.00, $ 50.00.
Ribbons
will be given in each category.
