Participating Wineries....

Adam Puchta Winery
Established along Frene Creek by Adam Puchta in 1855, it still remains the oldest family farm winery in Missouri.
Tucked in the valley near Frene Creek, Adam Puchta Winery is once again producing fine wines of world class stature with the ambiance of old family tradition. In the last 3 years our wines have had the distinction of earning 80 medals in state, national, and international competitions. In the year 2000, our 1997 Estate Bottled Norton received the Governor's Cup of Missouri, our state's highest honor.
As you drive over the wooden plank bridge and round the bend, one notices the peaceful surroundings touched by the past and present. The original Puchta homestead houses our gift shop and tasting room. Adam Puchta Winery remains the oldest and continuously owned farm family winery within the state and one of only a handful in the United States that date back to Pre-Prohibition days.
For the chocolate wine trail event Puchta Winery will offer a white chocolate grande marnier liqueur truffle with Riefenstahler and a dark chocolate raspberry truffle with Jazz Berry.

Bias Winery
BIAS WINERY will be serving for this year’s Hermann Wine & Chocolate Trail a “Strawberry Weisser Flieder”, a light and fruity sweet wine that will be paired with White chocolate covered Strawberries.
We will also be introducing our new “Victorian Red”, served with a New York style cheese cake drizzled with a dark chocolate sauce. We think this is a wonderful pairing of two excellent wines with tasty desserts. Come and join us.

Bommarito Winery
Almond Tree Winery was established in 2000. It is a small estate winery
producing 1500 gallons of exceptional red and white wines. The serene
setting and view are pleasures we feel you, as our guest, will enjoy.
They will serve Bommarito Almond Tree Blush Wine in Glasses dipped with
Ghiradelhi chocolate. The chocolate dessert is Almond Tree Chocolate Delight
Sheet Cake.

Hermannhof Winery
Hermannhof's ten magnificent stone cellars and charming brick superstructure are among the 100 early Hermann buildings placed on the National Register of Historic places by the Federal government. Construction of a brewery/winery commenced in 1848 and was completed in 1852 in the French section of Hermann. In 1978, the Hermannhof Cellars were purchased by the James Dierberg family and renewal began. Today, all the cellars are utilized in wine production, with production capacity of 50,000 gallons. Many of these historic cellars contain casks made from white oak from the forests of France and Missouri. Here the wine continues to improve with age until it is dispatched to bring joy and sunshine to connoisseurs. Other cellars are employed in the making of sparkling wine in the original "methode champenoise".
To make Hermannhof wines the most natural to exist, the winery not only utilizes the latest equipment and methods, but has provided funding, equipment, and personnel that have attained national recognition in original viticulture and enological research. This dedication to quality has enabled Hermannhof to become the first two-time winner of the Brown-Foreman Trophy for "Best New World White Wine", along with numerous other awards .
Plans now at Hermannhof for the Chocolate Wine Trail is to pair a delightful Eiswein* with a white chocolate truffle and the Port with a Black Forest dessert.
*About the

Stone Hill Winery
Winemaking is both an art and a science. At Stone Hill Winery, harvesting grapes is just the beginning! Established in 1847, Stone Hill grew to be the second largest winery in the United States. The wines were world renowned, winning gold medals in eight world's fairs, including Vienna in 1873 and Philadelphia in 1876. By the turn of the century, the winery was shipping 1,250,000 gallons of wine per year. Using French-American hybrid grapes such as Vidal, Seyval, and Vignoles, Stone Hill makes sophisticated wines that compare favorably to popular varietals Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Norton, the pride of Stone Hill, has been proving that Missouri can produce a big, full-bodied red of world-class stature. Today, Missouri viticulture is again growing rapidly, and Stone Hill is in the forefront helping Missouri to reclaim its former status as one of the world's best wine regions.
Stone Hill will be serving........ Stone Hill 1999 Champagne paired with an Almond Glazed Chocolate Cookie with Raspberry Drizzle and Stone Hill 2002 Port paired with White Chocolate Collettes with Raspberry Truffle Filling.
